Our team was hired by the University of Vermont at the beginning of the construction phase to provide construction administration and mechanical, electrical, piping, and controls post-design engineering services for their new Central Chilled Water Plant. The chiller room was carved out of space in the central utility plant. The chilled water supply and return distribution piping was distributed through ten manholes to many of the campus buildings along with new steam and condensate piping.  

Using AIA Document B141 – 1997, Part 2 as our guide, we coordinated with UVM, the Architect and all other Sub-consultant post-design construction services. LEI acted as lead administrator for the construction effort serving as a clearing house for all project information, inclusive of Construction Document modifications, Requests for Information (RFI), Submittals and Shop Drawings, Requests for Payment by the Construction Manager, Architect, and Sub-consultants. Furthermore, we provided all direct mechanical and electrical post-design support as the design engineer was not retained for construction or post-design services.
