Project Manager for a $1.3 MM manufacturing process consolidation and relocation effort for an engineered plastics manufacturer. Numerous Monolithic and compression molding operations were completely relocated within, and/or in-between two different manufacturing facilities, one in Virginia, and the other in Pennsylvania. Worked closely with the Owner to develop a phased plan for selective shutdown and relocation of their processes, whether within one of the two plants, or between them. Developed detailed plans for disassembling equipment, power distribution, and control components utilizing sketches, photographs, and labels, so they could be reassembled and returned to production within the shortest period of time.

Responsible for all mechanical, electrical, I&C, architectural and structural design, along with managing post-design services and acting as the Owners Representative during construction. In addition to the process relocation design and coordination efforts, performed as a process engineer, designing a new hot monomer delivery and distribution system. Design tasks involved the development of P&ID, PFD, Sequence of Operations, equipment layouts and sizing and specifying equipment. Performed comprehensive Post-Design Services for the Owner, inclusive of developing probable construction cost estimates, preparing contractor bid packages, reviewing bids and providing recommendations, preparing award notices, preparing contract documents (AIA Short Form of Contract), reviewing submittals, processing RFI’s and shop drawings, evaluating change order requests, preparing change orders, amending contract documents, performing periodic on-site inspections, reviewing and approving all requests for payment (AIA), preparing punch-lists and providing project close-out documents.
